  • What Is Your Schedule For Guided Diving And Classes?
During the summer we're in the water 7 days a week. We do not offer ice diving...yet! However, we are happy to refer you to professionals that do! Guided dives are available Sunday- Thursday. Special requests for Friday and Saturday depend on Instructor availability. A majority of our classes take place Friday to Sunday. We offer an extremely flexible schedule and if you want dates that aren't listed give us a call! We are happy to teach evenings or early mornings! We do require 48 hr notice for sign-ups.
  • Where Do You Dive?
ANYWHERE WE WANT! The Flathead valley is saturated with amazing dive sites from the shores of Flathead lake to the crystal clear alpine formations nestled in Glacier National Park. We do a majority of our certification dives at Lake McGregor because it's accessible, has basic amenities (pit toilet), and a bit of local wildlife for us to enjoy. Outside of Montana, we offer trips to Hawaii and Florida for certified divers and students. Open Water divers are eligible to sign up for our Australia and Indonesia trips!
  • What Time Do Classes Start And Finish?
Open Water Scuba classes start at 8:30 and end between 5 and 6:30pm each day. Advanced Classes begin at 9:00 and end between 3:00 - 6:00pm. Rescue Classes start at 8:00am and end by 6:00pm Dive Master programs are specialized and are dependent on student availability. Specialty courses start at 9:00 and wrap up by 6:00pm Refresher pool dives and Reactivate programs require a 3 hour block and have flexible start times. Discover Scuba Dives are also 3 hour sessions with flexible meeting times.
  • Do You Offer Enriched Air (Nitrox)?
Yes we do! Flathead Scuba utilises partial pressure blending to provide us with 32% EANX tanks for divers with the proper certification. Rentals cost $15.00 per tank.
  • What Is The Minimum Age For Diving?
8 year olds are able to dive in our Bubble Maker Program. 10 years old is the minimum age for our Seal Diver Program and Discover Scuba Diving experience. The Junior Open Water Course is available to 10 year olds with a 40 foot depth maximum.
  • What Should I Bring?
A towel is about the most massively useful thing to bring for diving. We also recommend bringing a large water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, a hat, and warm layers for in-between and after diving. We will provide all diving equipment, tanks, and weights for students. Certified divers will need to rent or bring their own equipment for guided dives. Our Instructors will provide hot chocolate and light snacks for all students. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions you have.
